Nice wide trails for riding buddies! Beautiful grounds, wonderful parking. Creek to cross, little wooden bridge (or another creek crossing!) for mounts to get used to varied “obstacles”. People with dogs and bikes are allowed, so, horses get to see them too! The Rangers at the Visitor Center are courteous and helpful.
This area is the scene of the second major battle of the Civil War.
