Click the icon for directions in google.From Boise, Idaho, travel north along State Highway 55 to Banks, Idaho (approximately 38 miles). At Banks, turn right (east) onto State Highway 17 (Banks-Lowman Road) and travel 31 miles to Lowman, Idaho. From Lowman, drive east of the Lowman Ranger Station on State Highway 21 for 20.5 miles to Forest Service (FS) Road 524 (the Grandjean Road). Turn right onto FS Road 524 and drive 4.7 miles to the Wapiti Summer Home Area Road. Turn right onto the road, stay right, and then veer right onto FS Road 525 in 0.1 mile. In another 0.2 miles turn left onto FS Road 525A. Pass a sign for the trail in 0.4 miles and reach the trailhead in another 0.6 miles.
