The Wakulla State Forest is beautiful and varied due to the unique and various natural community types perfect for horse back exploration. This recreation area features several different multi-use and hiking-only trails with one designated Trailwalker and one Trailtrotter trail. The Double Springs Trail loop is an amazing multi-use 4.5 mile trail that features low water crossings, inclines and winding trails. The Petrik Spur Trail is a 1.0 mile trail off of the Double Springs Trail. There are also over 15 miles of service roads closed to vehicle traffic, accessible to adventurous hikers and riders who like to explore off the marked trails.
