The trailhead is found less than 2 miles south of the U.S. 60 and is very well marked and easy to get to. The trailhead has restroom facilities. The Picketpost trailhead is part of the Arizona Trail and there is a sign greeting you and providing information at the trailhead. There is no parking or day use fee and there are plenty of spaces to park a horse trailer.
