What To Expect

Amenities include a vault toilet, highline, hitching posts, and picnic tables
Trails are well marked and maintained
Trails are wide and grassy. Terrain consists of rolling hills in a forest of deciduous and pine trees. There are a couple of creek crossings.
Electric and water are not available at the trailhead
Camping is allowed on a first come first serve basis
There are no fees for camping and a trail pass is not required
Camping area can accommodate 6 truck/trailer combinations for camping and 10 for day parking only
Horseshoes are not needed
If you only have a chance to ride one trail at Otter Springs, check out the rustic shelter between trail markers 5 & 6
Trailed is owned by Forest County and sponsored by the Silver Dollar Saddle Club
To get there, take Hwy 8 to Otter Creek Rd. Turn North on Otter Creek Road. Go ½ mile. The sign and entrance to the trailhead is on the left.
