No Rides Found Be the first to Add Your Ride
Onion Creek is an open riding area maintained by the local Friends of Onion Creek. Multiple trails that go through various terrains: open pasture type, woods, riverside, and more. The Onion Creek area is actually a flooded out residential area (the city won’t allow rebuilding) — the houses are gone and only foundations and driveways are left. You park anywhere on the streets — pull up to a curb and unload. Onion Creek Rd dead ends at the city park and the Dog Park. To access the horse trails, you will go down the Dog Park trail (be warned there may be dogs on the trail) until you come to the turn off on the left. This goes down to the river. Once you cross the river you are now in the equestrian area. Wonderful trail riding. HOWEVER…if it is raining or been raining (especially heavy raining) then you can’t ride there. The river floods that whole area near the river up to 10-15 feet underwater…and leaves debris.
Many thanks to TrailMeister user debdemer for adding this area!

Open riding area. No fees and you don’t need Coggins proof. In the dog park and on the dog trail, there may be loose dogs. Everyone I’ve met there are courteous and hold in their dogs when they meet the horses.
