From the NORTH: Take HWY 141 South to Pembine, Wisconsin. Continue south on 141 for 3.8 miles to Beecher Lake Rd. (Follow brown Marinette County signs for 12 Foot Falls). Turn right onto Beecher lake Rd. and follow 1.5 miles to first stop sign (Smeester School Rd.), turn left. In .6 miles, turn right onto Trout Haven Rd. Follow west for 4.8 miles. Watch for Forest Rd 511 (and a sign for Horseshoe Falls Equestrian Camp) on left. Turn left. Follow Forest Road 511 for 2 miles to a “T” intersection. Turn left (onto 12 Foot Falls Rd.), and travel 1/2 miles. Horseshoe Falls Equestrian Camp entrance is on right side. From the South: Take HWY 141 North past Amberg, Wisconsin. Continue North for 4.6 miles to Beecher Lake Rd. (Follow brown Marinette County signs for 12 Foot Falls). These trails offer hours of quiet, relaxing riding through some of Marinette County’s beautiful forest. These trails are single and double width, well-marked, and easy to follow.
All road work has been completed. Access to the camp and trails is restored!
- Overnight camping requires a Marinette County Forestry sticker. See Rules and Regulations tab.
- Please print off trail map before arriving.
- Check the kiosk at the trailhead for any updates.
- Cell phone usage is limited.
- Camping is primitive – no electricity
- No reservations. First come First serve
- Please keep parking/camping/trail areas cleaner than when you arrived – Throw manure deep into the woods.
- Donation boxes at trailheads. Money is used for camping/trail enhancements.
Day riding is free. Overnight camping at Horseshoe Falls requires a Marinette County Equestrian permit/sticker, which is available at: www.marinettecountywi.gov/departments/forestry-br/general-information/permits/ . Make sure you get the “EQUESTRIAN” sticker. This yearly permit is valid also at Middle Inlet Horse Camp and Trails.
ATV’s and UTV’s are NOT allowed on roads, in camp, or on trails.
