Sandy or dirt trails through mixed forest of hardwoods and pines. Trails run beside several streams, ponds, and small lakes. Campground available with large circle drive for easy in and out. According to the HSC website: Located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, The Hiawatha Sportsman’s Club encompasses 55 square miles of gated member-only wilderness equaling 35,000 acres.

The Hiawatha Sportsman’s Club was organized in 1927 by a group of men who were interested in establishing an expansive vacation center which would appeal to people from all walks of life. Today it remains the largest privately held property in the eastern United States.

37 miles of exclusive trout streams, stocked trout ponds, and lakes

15 miles of beautiful wilderness river to canoe or kayak

All riders must be accompanied by a Hiawatha Club member

Only caveat: Campground is open to non-members but a club member must accompany you on the trails on club property. Fortunately, many club members enjoy riding and would love to guide you through these trails.
