What To Expect

13 horse sites.
Pressurized water system and a vault toilet.
Ample room for parking vehicles and trailers is available at each site.
One large common corral is available for boarding horses and four of the sites have 4 place box stalls divided into 4 sections.
Livestock water is available.
Old growth Ponderosa is prevalent.
Reservations not required.
To the north, the trail crosses the eastern flank of Black Butte, then continues through the Metolius Research Natural Area.
To the south, the trail winds down to the Three Sisters Wilderness, where it connects with a larger network of trails. Hiking, and horse riding.
