Broxton Bridge Plantation is 6 miles south of Ehrhardt on Hwy 601. (aprox 60 total miles) From Charleston, SC: Take Hwy 17S to Jacksonboro then Hwy 64W to Walterboro. Follow Hwy 64 thru Walterboro. You will go under I-95 and in about 16 miles turn left on Hwy 641. Follow 641 to Hwy 601 where you will turn left and go about one mile to the entrance. (aprox. 60 Miles) From Savannah, GA: Take I-95N to Exit 38/Yemassee Hwy. 68N to Hampton. Go thru Hampton and merge right onto Hwy 601N. Broxton Bridge Plantation is 12 miles from Hampton on 601N on the left. (aprox. 60 miles) From Augusta, GA: Take Hwy 78E to Bamberg. Turn right on Hwy 601/301S Hwy to Ehrhardt. Plantation is aprox. 7 miles south of Ehrhardt on Hwy 601S. (aprox 60 miles OR: Take Hwy 278 east to Barnwell. Hwy 64 east to Olar. Take Hwy 64 two miles. Cross over Hwy 301 and take Hwy 64 approx. 10 miles to Ehrhardt. Turn right on Hwy 601 at caution light. Plantation is 6 miles south of Ehrhardt on right (approx. 60 miles). )

At beautiful Broxton Bridge Plantation, in addition to breathtaking views of the Salkehatchie River from trails 35 feet up on the bluff to trails through mature stands of pines and hardwood, we can provide you with a most enjoyable trail ride year round. In addition to being able to camp out with your horse, you can also tour two battlegrounds from the War Between the States for a small fee and prior reservations. At certain times of the year, you can enjoy fishing in our 10 acre lake for bream, bass, and catfish at no charge.

As required by South Carolina law, all horses and mules must have proof of current, 12 month Negative Coggins test before unloading. All horses will be checked for proper match at the check-in station. NO EXCEPTIONS!
While Broxton Bridge Plantation makes every effort to insure that the trails and facilities are safe, we assume no risk nor liability for injuries resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, “pursuant to Article 7, Chapter 9 or Title 47, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976.”
All visitors must sign a waiver of liability before participating in any activities on Broxton Bridge Plantation. Minors also need the signature of their parent or guardian and should bring a signed release with them, if their parent or guardian will not be in attendance.
The trees, shrubbery, food plots and lawn on Broxton Bridge Plantation are valuable, esthetically pleasing resources. Consequently, horses or mules should not be tied, ridden, exercised or lunged where trees, shrubbery, food plots or lawn would be damaged. Please do not tie to trailers in the camping area other than for tacking up. Fires are permitted only in designated areas. Please do not attempt to burn trash in fire pits.
Please, “Don’t be a Litterbug.” Return all litter to the proper receptacles including cigarette butts. Follow a “pack it in, pack it out” policy. Do not discard cans, paper or cigarette butts on the trails or in camping area.
Guests are responsible for the removal of all waste created by the animals and uneaten hay to the compost pile or to the appropriate receptacle (much bucket) provided by Broxton Bridge Plantation on a daily basis. This includes, but is not limited to that deposited in stalls, along picket lines, and in camping areas. Please clean up thoroughly before departure.
Pets must be caged, kenneled or leashed at all times. No pets are allowed on trails, in recreation hall or in main lodges.
The recreation hall is closed to guests from camping area and main lodges after 11:00 p.m. in order to allow those staying in adjacent rooms to rest.
The recreation hall is off limits to minors, unless under the direct supervision of their parent or guardian.
Please observe all posted signs. Do not trespass on adjacent posted land.
Possession/use of illegal drugs is expressly prohibited and will result in arrest and prosecution.
Public intoxication, vulgar language and/or lewd behavior are not appropriate behavior at Broxton Bridge Plantation and will not be tolerated. No alcoholic beverages allowed except at your campsite. Please help us to maintain a wholesome family atmosphere.
