Click the icon for directions in google.I-5 to the Alger (Exit #240). Turn left onto Lake Samish Road and drive about 1/2 mile to Barrel Springs Road and turn left. Continue .7 miles to DNR Road B-1000 and turn right on the gravel road. This road can be very rough. Go 1.1 uphill miles to the large horse trailer parking lot on your right.

Excellent view points and the climbs that accompany such vistas can be found just south of Bellingham on the trails at Blanchard Mountain. Make sure to visit lily and Lizard Lakes while you’re here.
