Follow Forest Service Road #008 to Bear Valley Creek at 8.5 miles. At this road junction take the right fork, Forest Service Road #009, up Bear Valley Creek Road for 3.7 miles to the Bear Valley (lower) Equestrian Campground.

The Bear Valley Campground sits at 6600ft elevation. Located in a valley in the Lemhi Mountains the 6 tent/trailer campsites were designed for equestrian campers. Water, feed troughs, and hitch rails are available for horses. Also drinking water is provided. The camping site is near a creek and meadow.
