You can make a nice loop around the peninsula by riding north on the beach to Kincheloe Point, along the channel leading into Tillamook Bay, and back on the gravel road that runs along the bay. This area is very popular with the locals, and it’s no wonder — it’s a terrific place to ride. [From Riding Northwest Oregon Horse Trails, by Kim McCarrel]. Many thanks to TrailMeister’s Oregon Trail Boss Kim McCarrell for the excellent information on this horse riding area. For turn by turn trail directions consult her authoritative books which can be found here.
