This park is a free campground, which is open all year. The park is located on the north side of the lake. The park offers 25 campsites, with access to a concrete based boat ramp, courtesy dock, and 2 water hydrants. The Blackhawk trail, which is approximately 33 miles long, this trail is used by horses, bikers, and walkers.
The Black Hawk Trail passes through a variety of wooded, riparian and grassland areas. Blue trail follows Government boundary line; orange trail follows shoreline. Trails marked with white connect the two trails. Trail is marked with stakes where it crosses meadows. Yellow markers indicate difficult areas where caution should be used.
