Submitted by nailss Difficulty: Hard Distance: 13.05 We parked a truck and trailer at each end of the Ridge Trail to cut the almost 30 mile loop in half. We rode to clear down trees across the trail that had been reported. This is the trail with the 5 mile long decent that is talked about in the description here on TM. This was the 1st time that either of us had been across the entire ridge. While some sections were steep, the footing was good and we didn't encounter any sections that required us to dismount to traverse. Both of our equine are well conditioned for mountain trails.Much of the trail follows Forest Service Roads. But the trail changes as it follows the Mountain To the Sea Trail up and around and mountain. This is single track. There is water along the trail but you will need a collapsible bucket and rope to reach it. Unless you have a chainsaw to cut your way down as shown in the pictures.
