IMPORTANT NOTE: ASTM helmets must be worn by all riders at all times while participating in any event held on Stongwater gounds. Strongwater is located on 450 of the 800-acre Tewksbury Hospital property in perpetuity as conservation land. The natural beauty of this site is breathtaking and adds to the many equestrian activities sponsored here. Strongwater Farm's activities have revived this area of the hospital campus, which had been abandoned for decades. With strong support from the equestrian community, Strogwater Farm has begun to create a scenic venue suitable for national-level equestrian sport competitions for riders of all abilities. Our show site, named "Strongwater" because of its proximity to a sparkling brook of the same name, currently includes multiple parking areas, two large show rings with competition-quality footing and warm up areas. Volunteers maintain the fields and trails used for events and these events, like all of Strongwater's programs, are open to the public. The CTC trail borders fields and passes through woods in this serenely beautiful, historic, conservation land. The terrain is not rocky.
