Honoring Our Heroes

Come join us as we salute our nation's heroes, those who have served in the military. Test you and your mount’s skills on eight fun obstacles with a military theme. In addition to placement ribbons and prizes, there will also be awards for Best Groomed equine, Protect Your Noggin (for helmet wearers), and for Best Salute to Our Veterans-themed turnout of Equine and Rider. This ride will benefit the WORTH program (Warrior's Own Road To Horsemanship) provided at Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship for injured veterans, and the Highland County chapter of the Ohio Horseman's Council. Our OHC chapter maintains the trails at Paint Creek State Park, and some of the ride proceeds will go towards some of our maintenance projects at the park this year. We're a relatively small group, but we take great pride in our work at Paint Creek. If you've never been part of a trail or arena obstacle challenge with the American Competitive Trail Horse Association, this is a perfect place to start. If you have, then you already know to expect the casual, fun competition, the obstacles, the judges, and best of all you’ll be riding for a great cause. This casual competition is perfect for all levels of riders!
