About

We are excited to host our fourth annual Fall ACTHA ride at Magna Vista Farm. This is a 470 acre working farm and boarding facility that dates back to the Revolutionary War era. You will see beautiful views of Holston Valley and the surrounding mountain range. The terrain is varied and includes rolling fields, woodlands, and natural streams. During the 7 mile ride, you will travel on old logging trails, widened deer paths, and trails that follow the natural terrain. Your path will even cross the Tennessee/Virginia state line at several points. In addition to the boarded horses, you will see a variety of livestock and wildlife. Your horse will not need shoes for this ride. Please view our website for more pictures and information www.magnavistafarm.com and follow us on Facebook! We continue to make improvements to our ride and facility. We receive excellent feedback on all of our rides. Make sure you sign up before midnight Friday Aug 15 to receive your FREE T-shirt commemorating the ride! Camping is FREE and there is NO ranch fee! We are planning another wonderful clinic following the ride! Susan Knickerbocker will be providing the fun and games once again for our Creative Obstacle Clinic. If you haven`t attended our clinic before, plan to do so this time! We will attempt some obstacles that are not in actha`s vocabulary, just to see what our wonderful horses are capable of! Friday evening, we will have a FREE hack around ride for all of the early arrivals. Please contact me if you need lodging for you or your horse. We have stalls, a Bed&Breakfast, and primitive camping (new outhouse, a few outlets, water hose, running creek). Limited space available! Please make sure you sign up for any amenities when you register for this ride so that your place is saved! Sunday following the ride there will be a FREE schooling day for all ride participants. Others may join for $10. We’ll leave the obstacles up, and the trail marked for a relaxed day of riding. We will also explore some of the more advanced trails on this day if anyone is interested.
