About

new rider benefit for Members of the Virginia Horse Council go to www.virginiahorsecouncil.org and check it out- if you have questions, call me We are excited about our 4th ACTHA ride here at our farm. I said I was not going to do another ride, but soon realized how much I would miss seeing all the friends I have made through the past 3 and how much fun it is to meet new riders. So here we go again! We welcome anyone who wants to come Friday and stay the weekend and we do not charge for camping. We have 6 paddocks available, but they are grassy and large enough for 2 horses, if you and a friend have friendly horses. We will charge $10 per paddock( that covers one or both nights and1-3 horses) Temporary paddocks by your trailer are fine (no charge)and we have plenty of grass for your guys to munch on. We Do ask that you please reserve a spot so we know who to expect and when. All our fences are high tensile electric. In some cases, the power can be cut out, but most places it will be HOT- We are a working cattle farm and turning fences off for the entire farm is not an option. In time honored fashion, we still want to support Tackfully Teamed Therapeutic Riding. However, this year we will do something a little bit different. We will have drawing for a special prize( to be announced later)- to enter the drawing you can either bring Proof of Purchase seals off your Southern States feeds(one raffle ticket for every 10 coupons) and/or purchase tickets for $5 each- ALL PROCEEDS (cash and coupons) will go directly to Tackfully Teamed. If you are not familiar with the Southern States S.H.O.W. Program, participating organizations can earn 25¢ for each proof of purchase seal from Southern States, Legends® and Triple Crown® horse feed bags. They can even earn $10 per ton on Southern States, Legends and Triple Crown pelleted feed(For bulk feed purchases, you need to submit the original customer copy of the delivery tickets). Our charity this year is the newly formed Virginia Horse Council Foundation, an IRS approved 501(c)3 organization for the furtherance of equine related activities within the State of Virginia. Special prize categories 1.) Best Turned- out Horse/Rider Pair- this will go to the pair best prepared for the trail- clean, practical, safe and prepared for an emergency on the trail 2.) Best Dressed Horse/Rider Pair- this will go to the pair who wants to show off their trail bling, maybe pick a theme or just do something different- still must be safe for horse and rider. 3. Judges' Pick awards for each Obstacle
