Come enjoy the beauty of this small state forest. Flat terrain with sandy soils, so no shoes required. This will be the second weekend of the East Texas Buckle Series. The first two rides will be in Coldsprings March 14 & 15. Best 5 out of 6 rides count for the buckle (keychain for Scout). Cash prizes for 1st thru 3rd places in Open, Pleasure, and Junior. If there are 40 or more riders, 1st place will at least get their entry fee back. Merchandise prizes for 4th- 6th places, as well as all 6 Scout placings. Keep your Easter hat or give it to your horse. The best Easter hat worn by rider or equine will earn a prize on Saturday. Door prize for every rider. A $25 gift card will be given away to a non-placing rider, if there are at least 35 riders. Two cards will be given away, if there are 45 or more riders, so round up all your friends and come have a good time. Saturday afternoon we will have a freestyle obstacle competition. Three different obstacles will be set up in a small field, You will choose only one of the obstacles and show us everything your horse can do at that obstacle in 90 seconds. Prize for the winners. After the competition, come join us at the fire for an old-fashioned weenie roast. All the fixin's provided, including the smores. ACTHA's charity portion for this ride will go to Stable-Spirit. There will not be a ranch fee charged at this ride, but anyone wanting to, can make a donation to Stable-Spirit.
