The Santa Cruz County Horsemen’s Association Invites Equestrians to the Club’s Beautiful Showgrounds Next to Henry Cowell State Park Saturday March 14 – Navigate an interesting Obstacle Course at the Santa Cruz Horsemen’s Association beautiful showgrounds. Horse and rider each receive a score based on horsemanship and a quiet mount. This is a great way to try new things and build trust with your horse, pony or mule. Ribbons and Prizes will be awarded in 4 divisions: Open, Pleasure, Junior, and Scout. Bonus: Special prize for one obstacle! Enter one or both events – Campsites & paddocks available – Open to all riding disciplines At the showgrounds you will find pipe-panel corrals, 2 round pens, two arenas, a cross-country course, hot showers, campsites, and easy access to Henry Cowell State Park. Campsites available for $15/rig starting Friday March 13. Pipe-panel corrals also available on a 1st come / 1st served basis (cost included in the camping fee) Reservations required, pay when you arrive. Don't miss the CTC on Sunday March 15! Two great events in one location. Enjoy a 6-8 mile Trail Ride through the majestic Redwoods at Henry Cowell State Park. Follow a marked trail with friends while earning scores at 6 obstacles along the way. Scores are based on horsemanship and a quiet mount (not speed). Views of the San Lorenzo River and Monterey Bay from horseback will make this one of your favorite rides of the season! Register for each event today!
