About

Round Valley Regional Preserve was once home to California Indians. It was probably a boundary between several tribal groups, an area where members of East Bay and San Joaquin Valley groups met periodi- cally to trade and socialize. Evidence of Native American use has been uncovered at several sites in the preserve. Beautiful rolling hills, mostly grasslands, dirt trails. Some single track sections with lots of obstacles. Creeks should be flowing after all this rain. There are cows sometimes grazing in hillsides. Often spot some coyote, foxes and squirrels. Walkers and bicycles. Some hills are moderate to high level. Mostly dirt trail, but some gravel throughout trail. Section marked for Horse Trailer parking. Restrooms are available at parking lot.
