Faye Whittemore Farms Competitive Trail Ride

Faye Whittemore Farms is located in the rolling hills of North/Northwest Alabama (just 30 miles north of Birmingham).  Footing is variable and can be rocky. Shoes or boots are recommended. There is good water along the trail for horses, and much of the ride will be in the shade. The ride will be over a marked trail within a specific time period to evaluate horse and rider. This is not a race. Distance conditioning, safety, equitation, trail manners and ability, way of going, soundness, and teamwork, as well as safety and care in camp are all part of the competition. Check-in begins Friday at 2 pm.
