Trail Challenge Mt. Spokane State Park Day 1

This event is a part of the NW Tri-State Tournament, details coming soon. The ride will be through the cross country ski trails at Mt Spokane State Park. It will be ~7 miles long with 6 obsctacles. There will be beautiful views so remember to bring your camera! We will have varied terrain, mostly easy trails with rolling terrain. There are some spots with gravel on the roads, you know your horse best regarding shoes or boots. This is in a Washington State Park so a Discovery Pass is required. There is a kiosk at the camp where you can purchase a pass. An annual pass is $30 and a day pass is $10/day. You can also buy online at http://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/ or anywhere they sell Washington hunting license. Dry camping is available at the Selkirk Lodge parking area for $12/night. There will be water available. There can be bugs so please remember your bug spray for both human and horse!!! The weather that time of year can be unpredictable, please plan accordingly. We are up at a higher elevation so the nights can get chilly. Let's practice No Trace methods and please clean up manuer from the horses whether you are camping or just in for the day. This is a public, open use park so you might encounter people hiking or biking on the trails. Please be considerate and respectful of others on the trails.
