For trail riders, chaps are the go to piece of gear for protecting your legs from the elements as well as the flora and fauna often found along the trail such as cacti and brambles. Not only does this bit of protective gear help keep us dry, warm, and intact, leather chaps also help provide us with a better seat by gripping the saddle much better than fabric trousers can. That extra grip may keep you from an unplanned dismount.
To work best chaps should be fitted to the rider. Unfortunately, having custom chaps made used to be an expensive and lengthy process.
ChapOutlet.com has simplified the process by providing riders like you with an easy and convienent online fitting and ordering solution where budget minded riders can get custom chaps in a wide variety of styles. Even better all of ChapOutlet.com’s chaps are made here in the U.S.
TrailMeister Trail Boss, Randy D reviewed both ChapOutlet.com’s ordering process and the chaps themselves. Read on for his review.
Two weeks ago I was on the the web ordering my new Chinks from www.ChapOutlet.com . I couldn’t believe how easy it was to place my order for a custom set of Western Chinks. I received a couple of emails from Kelly (The owner ) to make sure my measurements were correct.
A week later the box was sitting on my doorstep with my new ChapOutlet Chinks. I tried them the very next day on a 4 hour trail ride. It was foggy in the morning so I was glad to have the added warmth of the rough out leather the Chinks are made of.
I think these would be the perfect choice for those looking for their first set of Chaps. They’re not fancy but, look really durable and would stand up to the abuse of brushy trails and rubbing against the trees that we sometimes find on our rides.
I’m looking forward to field testing these out next month on the rugged desert Terrain and Cactus in Southern Arizona.
