Woolrich Stag Shirt Nearly 100 years old and still as good as it gets It’s thick, It’s heavy, It’s the Real Deal
Wears like a shirt, functions like a warm jacket. One of the most rugged, practical outdoor shirts we've ever made. That's why it's a favorite of many of our avid outdoor enthusiasts. Still built with nearly century-old quality, but now in a washable wool (80% wool/20% nylon) that makes it easier than ever to care for. The legendary front and back double yokes shed moisture and hold in the warmth. Two chest pockets with button-close openings under the front yoke for extra protection. Hand-warmer pockets. Adjustable button cuffs. Unlined. Imported. Machine wash, It’s thick, It’s heavy, It’s the Real Deal When you’re in the mountains you need gear that can fill several roles. The Woolrich Stag Shirt is one multi-tasker that I take on every trip regardless of season or weather forecast. During fair weather the stag shirt breaks the evening chill and cool morning breezes. Foul weather, however, is where Woolrich’s classic shines. The tightly knit wool blend fabric shrugs off mist, light rain, and chill temperatures on its own. As part of a layering system the Stag Shirt has kept me very comfortable in below freezing temps and strong winds.
Specs:
The wool blend fabric allows easy home cleaning. Just throw in the washer. Remember NOT to put it in the dryer though. Let it air dry over the back of a chair. Rugged construction - After numerous trips the Stag Shirt still looks great and has all its buttons. Classic styling – Jeremiah Johnson doesn’t have anything on this jacket. Woolrich has been making the Stag shirt for over a hundred years. The Bad It’s heavy. This is not clothing for the ultra lightweight community. The Ugly By itself in fair weather or as part of a layer system the Stag Shirt is a vital part of my gear list for every trip that make into the mountains.
