My wife's trail shoes. Her verdict:

Pack it! Light weight hiking shoe with enough lugs on the sole for the mountain trails or when extra grip is needed to dodge the crowds in the concrete jungle. It has a flexible sole to let your feet bend around rocks & roots. Enough room to wear hiking socks, but lace up tight on steep declines to keep your toes from bumping forward. I found this out on the steep descent at Mount Si. The laces do stretch after several uses & tend to get too long. Good ventilation, but your feet will get wet in heavy down pours and creek crossings. Overall a good versatile hiking shoe for day hikes, light backpacking, and even for recreational trail running.
