Stanley Thermos

Keeping me warm and comfortable in the coldest and nastiest of conditions

Stanley Thermos

During cold Seattle winters (and some cool summer evenings as well!) the Stanley is the  "go to" vessel for hot coffee, tea, cocoa or what ever else we need to stave off the chills.

Double wall vacuum insulation keeps coffee hot around the clock when pushing on, sleeping out or working a graveyard shift. Locking handle fits work gloves and a twist-open stopper pours at any angle.

Features

• Keeps hot/cold 24 hours
• Double wall vacuum insulation
• Stainless steel construction
• 11oz lid doubles as drinking cup
• Durable rust-proof finish
• Lock-in-place easy grab handle
• Pour from any angle stopper

A very unscientific study

We took hot water, measured the temperature, poured it into the Stanley Thermos and took readings at 12 hour intervals to see just how long the thermos would keep liquids cold.

The Results:

  • Start - 190 Degrees F
  • 12 Hours - 170 Degrees F
  • 24 Hours - 150 Degrees F
  • 36 Hours - 130 Degrees F
  • 48 Hours - 110 Degrees F

What this tells us besides a Stanley Thermos being the real deal is you need to let beverages cool a little before you put them into the thermos. Either that or can expect to have to wait for a few minutes for your drink to cool after you pour it.
