ESP Saddle Pad

"If your horse isn't comfortable you're not going to go very far"

I'm a big fan of this saddle pad. The sweat pattern, on my horse's back, after a ride is consistent and even which indicates that the pressure from the saddle, me, and any other gear I'm carrying has been distributed evenly across his back.

The construction of the pad is quite good. It consists of a heavy wool top and a felt bottom that sandwich a 1/2 inch pad of memory foam (similar to what is in mattresses) in between.

All of these materials do make for a heavy pad but I like that it's just one item to worry about, as opposed to using a pad and a separate blanket.

I'd recommend this pad to anyone who is traveling a distance on their horse. It'll keep the horse more comfortable and you on the trail longer.
