Knot Eliminator Review

Essentially a metal buckle that a highline rope can be wound around, these handy gadgets make quick work of setting up a highline and securing stock after a long day on the trail. Several variations of Knot Eliminators are available. Some have swiveling rings to keep lead ropes from twisting.

For the knot challenged Knot Eliminators are a wonderful tool. Instead of tying in-line loops (such as an Alpine Butterfly) that may be difficult to untie later, or remembering to bring along a few feet of spare cordage to make a Prusik Loop, just throw a couple of these in your camping tack box.

We use Knot Eliminators regularly when setting up camp near the vehicles. For trips into the backcountry use in-line knots, or Prusik Loops let you travel just a bit lighter.
