Massasoit is a heavily wooded park located just minutes off Interstate 495. Among the scenic beauty and many opportunities for recreation are about five miles of hiking and mountain biking trails around several of the lakes that the park is centered upon. Although the trails were adequately maintained trail signage was on the short side and the two map kiosks that I found contained outdated information.

Trail markings and signage aside the pines and the lake were beautiful. 

I've heard that in the fall the scarlet of the cranberry bogs against the pines is breathtaking.
